Quick Weekend Adventure
This year has been a quiet one for us, camp-wise. Ironic really, as this is the year that I decided to start a 'proper' blog of our offroad adventures.
Our normal M.O. is to get out once every month or so for a full weekend. I guess in some ways it's because we've planned a few bigger trips rather than our usual Friday-night-til-Sunday-morning... a week at Fraser, Easter at Rover, and then the Cape for a month... but it feels really strange! Either way, it was good to get out for a quick trip to Scenic Rim Adventure Park, situated in Tamrookum, just south of Beaudesert.

We only spent a short night at the park, with the intention of testing any new additions to our camp setup for our upcoming Cape trip. We almost cancelled too - it was forecast that we'd be camping through a windy thunderstorm, but thankfully it didn't eventuate and all we got was a bit of much-needed rain! It also meant the park was really peaceful with only a few other people staying.

The property is a great spot for those looking to test their offroad skills, and to just generally do a bit of bush exploring. There's quite the view at the top end of the park, and a great old log cabin to check out as well. Hot tip - we stayed in site 13B, but sites 10, 10A, 13 and 13A had cracking views as well.

That's it! Short but sweet. Happy exploring guys!
